Koral Schademan (She/Her): LMHC, Art Therapist
WA License #LH61482876
I find great fulfillment in collaborating with adults and teenagers, tapping into a diverse range of tools and strategies to craft a treatment plan uniquely tailored to meet your specific needs. My approach is centered on understanding and respecting the individuality of each client, ensuring that the journey towards healing and growth is both personalized and effective.
My educational journey began at Naropa University in Boulder, CO, where I pursued an undergraduate degree in Contemplative Psychology and Expressive Art Therapy. This experience laid the foundational stones of mindfulness and meditation in my practice, enabling me to weave together Eastern and Western therapeutic approaches. The unique curriculum at Naropa University allowed me to explore the depths of human consciousness and the healing power of art, equipping me with tools to foster a deep, introspective journey for my clients.
Further advancing my expertise, I earned my MA in Art Therapy and Clinical Mental Health from Antioch University in Seattle. This phase of my education ingrained in me a robust multicultural framework and a commitment to social justice, guiding my therapeutic practice. Antioch’s emphasis on a trauma-informed approach has been pivotal, shaping my methods to incorporate a variety of strategies and techniques, including Art Therapy. These practices enable me to assist my clients in navigating through their challenges—be it unresolved emotional events, problematic patterns, or dilemmas—ultimately guiding them towards leading more fulfilling lives. My time at Antioch has been instrumental in shaping my holistic view of mental health, emphasizing the importance of understanding and addressing the multifaceted nature of human experiences.
Beyond my professional life, I am a Seattle local who loves exploring this beautiful state. I am passionate about community, family, and friends. I enjoy reading, creating art, traveling, walking, and cuddling with my fluffy friends.
